Brandon Steven Welcome's Mazda to the Eddy's Family
The Eddy's Automotive family has expanded to nearby Kansas City, Missouri with the acquisition of Lee's Summit Mazda. Eddy's principal Brandon Steven, owner of Eddy's Everything nine Wichita-area dealerships and Eddy's Ford of Augusta, said the appeal of the Mazda brand made the acquisition of the Lee's Summit dealership a no-brainer. The newly-opened Eddy's Mazda of Lee's Summit has already begun serving clients.
In an interview with the Wichita Eagle, Steven said "Mazda is a great brand- I jumped all over it fast." Stevens went on to add that relatively new building that houses the dealership will have to undergo only minor upgrades once it joins the Eddy's dealership umbrella.
The Mazda brand has undergone a major resurgence in recent years, and has developed a large and loyal following amongst Wichita-area drivers. While the brand's pedigree was formed with the development of performance-inspired roadsters like the famed Mazda MX-5 Miata, recent model years have featured a spate of performance sedans and family-oriented, all-wheel-drive crossovers that have won various acclaim for their fuel-efficiency and cargo versatility.
Mazda's success has come with numerous accolade. The Mazda3 sports sedan has been named a Car and Driver 10 Best for three consecutive years, and the entire Mazda lineup helped it earn 2016 "Best Car Brand" from U.S. News & World Report.
