Great People Don't Become Great Automatically. Babe Ruth was famous for hitting a total of 714 home runs, but few people know that he struck out 1,330 times. The Babe swung so hard that when he missed he often fell down. Covered with dirt, often hearing the thousands of boos, he would tip his hat to the fans. What does a person think of, when being booed by7 thousands, that he can still tip his hat to the fans? Somehow he has come to realize, "I must fail frequently if I am to succeed."
